GENERAL PODIATRY
Many of us do not understand how important our feet are until we have concern arising on the feet. For example, a corn on the foot, even though it is small, may cause a lot of pain while walking. Those who had plantar warts on the soles of their feet know how irritating those lesions are. Also, our feet are very vulnerable organ even though they do tremendous work for us. First signs and symptoms of many systemic diseases are likely to manifest on the legs and feet even though people are not aware of them.
In general podiatry clinic, we cut and tidy up various types of toenails, remove hard skin, corns and spicular of ingrown toenails with aseptic techniques and instruments. We also try to detect any early signs or symptoms of systemic diseases, and if necessary, refers our clients for further examination.
Simply, we try to make your feet smile again.

NAIL SURGERY
Not only does an ingrown toenail cause pain but also it might deteriorate into more serious stages; inflammation and/or infection may occur on the sulcus of the ingrown toenail. Granulomatous or hypertrophic tissue may develop on the sulcus, eventually resulting in deformity of the toenail.
In the clinic, we do thorough pre-operation management to reduce any risks during the operation. Aseptic techniques are also strictly applied to ensure that the patient is protected from any potential infection. In the post-operation management, we educate and advise patients how to manage the surgical site and provide dressing materials so that patients can get the best result possible.

DIABETES MELLITUS AND FOOT
Diabetes Mellitus may entail micro- and macro vascular complications even though diabetic patients may not be aware of them. The worst diabetic complications that could manifest on the foot are diabetic ulcers and consequent amputation of foot. However, the early signs and symptoms of diabetic complications on the foot could be detected earlier than an ulcer develops. If diabetic patients are aware of early signs and symptoms of diabetic complications, they can protect themselves from more serious complications.
In the clinic, using "Diabetes Foot Assessment & Treatment Form," we thoroughly examine the foot including dermatological, neurological and vascular assessments for diabetic patients. We discuss any issues with patients, educate and help them set their own goals so that they can manage their problems daily. We also monitor any changes in patients' lower extremities and if necessary, refer patients to hospitals for interdisciplinary treatments.

CHILDREN'S FEET
Depending on which developmental stages they are in, your children's feet differ from adults' feet. Children's feet look abnormal from the point of adult's feet. However, it is not easy to tell pathological abnormalities from developmental processes without thorough assessments. If you are concerned about your children's foot shape or gait patterns, do not hesitate to contact us. It is essential to identify any problems as early as possible. Depending on what problems they have, we could help your children or refer them immediately to a specialist in order not to miss any opportunity of your children taking more specific treatment for their future life.
